World’s a harsh place to be in. Sometimes, you are loved and you feel like the luckiest person alive. Sometimes, you are just pushed away from things and that’s when you realise that happiness is like a bubble, which can break open. POP! There drowns your happiness in the vast ocean of sorrow. That is the worst that can happen with anyone, to get shoo-ed away. You get pushed so far away that you lose yourself. Some people do it unconsciously, some do it on purpose and both hurt equally bad.
We all have a part to play in this world that we are born in. But I believe we all have a great part to play in the lives of people who are related to us. What we say, the choices that we make, the decisions that we take, they have a great impact on those who care about you. Caring makes you weak, is what we learn when we witness the cruelty of this unjust world. But does it make you weak? It doesn’t according to me. Because when you say you care about someone or something, you make them your priority. You don’t shun them away, you talk to them. You hear them out what they have to say and if by any chance if you understand who that person is, you make an effort to make them feel better. That’s what caring is. This is what makes you special. You put in your everything for that person rather than putting them off because you said you cared but then you got bored of them talking. You don’t leave that person alone. That’s what is called driving them away. If someone can’t be there at your worst, then they don’t deserve you at their best.
Be empathetic, not just sympathetic is what I can advice to any person even to my own self. Think of what would that person do, if you were in trouble. Will they set themself ablaze to keep you from harm? And even if they don’t, help them either ways. Because that’s what you got to be. These may be very little gestures which people may not understand, but they matter. They show what you feel for them. And pushing someone away, clearly sends a message that you don’t care. Instead, try sending a better message that, YOU DO.
